ARPA GRANT AVAILABLE TO AID LINCOLN COUNTY RESIDENTS WITH SAFE WELL WATER
LINCOLN COUNTY – The Lincoln County Health Department is reporting Homeowners and business owners making less than $100,000 a year may be eligible for up to $16,000 to provide safe drinking water. Additional criteria for eligibility include testing positive for bacteria in their water or having nitrated, arsenic or PFAS levels exceeding the maximum contaminant level. The American Rescue Plan Act Well Compensation and Well Abandonment Grant programs provide more support to private well owners and increase access to clean drinking water. Many individuals who were previously ineligible will now qualify for application. This includes some small businesses like daycare centers, rural restaurants and churches with a non-community well. Applications are to be submitted by August of 2025.
